Mutual Aid Road Reps (MARR)
Biodiversity and climate change
The aim of the Climate Cafe is to reach those who would not normally get involved in environmental or climatic conversations. This will be an additional event on our events calendar.
About this cause
Our aim is to bridge the gap of isolation with simple kindness and friendship. Set up at the start of lockdown in March 2020, we have helped hundreds of residents across the Medway towns cope with Covid-19 and are helping people reintegrate as life returns to normal with coffee mornings, walks and social events.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Climate change is a massive subject but not one that people often relate to. We aim to help communities identify the potential threats of the climate crisis and help to create adaptations in order to make our communities more resilient. The monthly event will target those most isolated and at risk, focusing on topics such as 'grow your own', 'reduce-recycle-reuse', and 'biodiversity improvement'.
