People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
BSA aims to help Backwell School improve its outdoor social spaces for the students, which could include more seating, canopies and an outdoor games area.
About this cause
Backwell School Association (BSA) is the parent/staff association for Backwell School, and a registered charity. The primary aim of the BSA is to raise funds which go towards projects which benefit the students of Backwell School. We organise events to raise funds, and we also aim to provide social opportunities for parents and students.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Secondary school is a key time is child’s life, both socially and educationally; to be able to offer a better environment where they could relax with their friends would really benefit their wellbeing. Over the past few years, the impact of lockdowns really affected students socially so the chance to interact more would improve their social development.
