People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
A 20 hour fun-filled, preventative and supportive resilience and social skills programme. We aim to train and pay for two facilitators to expand this to more young people and adults
About this cause
Our aim is to holistically promote positive mental health for children and young people, and adults that inhabit their world, through a range of person-centred, humanist and outcome-led training and support services. We work in the community, in educational and other youth settings, and in nature when possible. We work in-person across the South West and virtually across England.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Developing Resilience In Free Thinking Spaces (DRIFTS) has wide-ranging impacts at all levels. Not only does it promote resilience, mental health and healing in the protection of a group, it also promotes compassionate, purposeful relationships with self and others (Little Welcome Box project), food and eating, and the environment (litter-picks).
