People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
We would like to work with Year 6 students in local primary schools, teaching them about radio broadcasting, and helping them to create a show to be presented live across the 10 parishes.
About this cause
We would like to take the station into local schools, enabling students to learn about and try radio broadcasting. Students will have the opportunity to create and broadcast a radio programme, as presenters and performers. They will learn new skills and gain confidence and useful assets in any situation, including finding employment – possibly in broadcasting.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This is a unique opportunity for local schools to learn about radio broadcasting from the inside. Members of 10Radio will be working with students from local primary schools, teaching them about radio broadcasting, as presenters and performers, creating their own show and presenting it live across the 10 parishes. The children will learn new skills and gain confidence in their own abilities.
