Earls Barton Library and Community Centre
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We would like to provide a fully accessible toilet, external ramp and a private office space. These changes will positively impact on the mental wellbeing of many of our users.

About this cause
We strive to maintain the library as a community space in our village. This ensures we are able to continually improve the lives of all who depend upon us to enhance their wellbeing. The library is open to all and, wherever possible, our activities are free. For instance, we provide English lessons for the Ukrainian refugees currently accommodated in our village, with more to come.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We know our library space provides a lifeline to many within our community and beyond. The numerous and varied activities we run, in addition to all the usual facilities a library provides, create opportunities for social interaction and mental and physical stimulation. Being able to include more people with accessibility needs will greatly enhance our offering.
