Biodiversity and climate change

We'd like to insulate our community hall and also plant our new outdoor green space with trees and hedging. This will open it up for people to use and as a place for events to be hosted.

About this cause

Our community hall will be a green hub. We will insulate our hall, plant trees and hedging in our half-acre green space - making the community hall more environmentally sustainable means we keep our costs down and maintain the wide array of events we host. The green space adjacent to our hall would benefit from more trees and hedging, it will make the space usable, and can host new outdoor events.

How this cause brings people in the community together

We aim to be a green hub! Our project makes the community hall greener and sustainable. Insulating our hall is a key priority or else we'll have to use it less due to the cost of electric. We also add a lot of CO2 to the environment by lost heat through the walls, roof and floor. We'll also make the green space around our hall better for wildlife by planting more trees and hedges.
