About this cause

Since 2017, PramaLife has developed a network of support groups and community-based activities for older people and carers. These provide a choice of support for people, close to their homes, so they can continue to live independent and fulfilling lives. We work across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and East Dorset.

How this cause brings people in the community together

We wish to bring people together to share their culinary skills and enjoy a communal meal. We aim to support older people who are lonely; people experiencing food poverty; the recently bereaved; people with dementia and family carers. The lasting benefit will be a more cohesive community, brought together through food, which will go a long way to reducing social isolation and food poverty.
