Sedbergh Youth & Community Centre
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We aim to fund 12 Joint Support sessions to provide support, respite, and activities for vulnerable people with muscle, bone, and joint health conditions.

About this cause
The centre serves a footfall of 21,465 people per year of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds with positive opportunities to help educate, support, and empower through leisure activities. We serve locals from deprived areas and six estates with an above average number of isolated older people and high obesity rates among children.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Vulnerable people with muscle, bone, and joint health conditions will be less isolated and more socially active. They will: feel happier, supported, and understood; have the opportunity to form new friendships; take part in fun activities, pain resilience techniques, mindful activities, as well as gaining information and advice.
