About this cause
Glasgow's Golden Generation was established in 1948 to reduce the impact of loneliness, isolation and poverty on older adults across Greater Glasgow. GGG aims to improve the quality of life of older adults in Glasgow through a variety of support services ranging from our three day care centres to clubs, community support, volunteering, befriending, welfare and digital services.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Glasgow's Golden Generation aims to alleviate the effects of poverty, isolation and loneliness in older people. GGG has three day centres offering friendship, belonging, new skills and hobbies, fun and socialising. Attendees enjoy a good hearty home-cooked lunch boosting both physical and mental health and cognitive abilities, enabling them to feel valued and be an active part of the community.
