Proud 2 b Parents
Mental wellbeing
We would like to improve mental wellbeing, support early informal education, whilst promoting equity for LGBT+ parents/carers and their children across Greater Manchester.
About this cause
We recognise that the service we deliver makes a difference to improving the community's mental health and resilience. The funding will reduce isolation and create feelings of belonging. It will also contribute to reducing the impact of the pandemic on children – reducing social anxiety and improving speech and language skills. People are at their best when they can be themselves and be included.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Through our interventions we aim to improve confidence and wellbeing, and reduce isolation. Parents and children report they feel happier and have increased self-esteem due to accessing our provision.
