Biodiversity and climate change
We would like funding to complete phase 2 of our community garden project. We will buy seating, picnic benches and an arbor with a gazebo roof, providing a relaxing space to enjoy the garden.
About this cause
Yatton House Society supports adults with a learning disability, providing opportunities to develop skills which enable independent living. Together with the Brighten Up Great Ayton, Climate Action Stokesley and Villages and local Rotary Clubs, we have formed a group to create an environmentally friendly community garden that will encourage biodiversity and provide a space for all to enjoy.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our community garden will bring together a broad section of the community through networking of organisations and volunteering. The community garden will deliver educational experiences, promote health and wellbeing, and raise awareness of climate change and the environment. It will be fully accessible and provide Great Ayton with a valuable resource benefitting residents and visitors.
