People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We aim to continue offering socially excluded local men a safe and welcoming environment in which to meet others in similar circumstances for chat and support over free tea, coffee and biscuits.
About this cause
We aim to help improve the social engagement and mental wellbeing of our members who might otherwise be excluded from general day-to-day society. We do that by running our weekly meetings at an accessible venue where men from the locality are welcome to come along and meet up with others and chat over free tea, coffee and biscuits. Other activities we arrange are also free for members to attend.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will give local disadvantaged men the opportunity to get out of the house and back into society, and improve their own wellbeing by looking forward to and attending our weekly meetings. By making our offer available to all men within the locality and at no cost to themselves, we see this as an invaluable way of bringing local communities closer together.
