We would like to establish this new Community Café as a place of welcome in the heart of Creekmoor to bring reduced loneliness and isolation and improved mental wellbeing post-covid.
About this cause
Christ Church Creekmoor has been at the heart of the Creekmoor Estate for over 35 years. We are passionate about supporting our community, regardless of individuals' beliefs. We demonstrate this by providing and hosting activities with GPs and other agencies in a Community Hub with a new Community Cafe, 'The Hub Cafe', at its heart. We provide the pastoral care and usual functions expected of a church.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Hub Cafe has started to be a safe, friendly, inclusive, accessible gathering space. It is the gateway to other community activities run with local GPs and other agencies, reducing loneliness/isolation and improving mental wellbeing. Activities include mental health support; carers’ training and support; debt management; groups for adults, children, families and youth, and room hire.
