About this cause

The Charity Skills 4 Work (Gateshead) Ltd. Is a voluntary sector organisation that supports young adults 19-30 years with a learning condition from across the borough of Gateshead. We offer a holistic service of mutual support to young people who are 'classed as' moderate learning difficulties, they do not therefore meet the criteria in Gateshead for local authority support via Adult Services as they do not have a complex need. In the main our members are young adults with a vast array of learning conditions, we offer a holistic service which includes working with families/carers, their siblings and extended circle of support to offer a development programme of quality, to enable self-determination and quality of life, to young people who are disadvantaged due to their disability.
