MARR - Mutual Aid Road Reps
Mental wellbeing
We would like to bridge the gap of isolation with simple kindness and friendship, by holding community walks and coffee mornings.
About this cause
Our group aims to bridge the gap of isolation with simple kindness and friendship. We formed at the beginning of lockdown in March 2020 and we provide assistance with the collecting and delivering of prescriptions, shopping and hearing aid batteries. We also provide a befriending service called Let's Get Chatty, operating over the phone and, once Covid-19 restrictions eased, face-to-face.

How this cause brings people in the community together
This project will reduce social isolation through a programme of coffee morning events across Medway. This means we can increase social cohesion and community involvement. We are working to encourage neighbours to come together and socialise, as well as look out for those who may be more vulnerable within the community.
