Mental wellbeing
We would be able to pay the rent of a spare garage that we currently use 1 day each week for activities. We hope to use it more days when the Landlord allows.
About this cause
We're a group who want to meet with others who have an interest in or would like to learn woodworking crafts with tea, a biscuit, a chat and a laugh. We make or repair items of our own in an atmosphere of friendly banter while we work or chat. Qualified members help those who need advice as and when required. We make items for other local community groups who need our help on a regular basis.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We have made flower tubs for local community groups, sign posts, a puppet theatre for children using wheelchairs. We have repaired a rabbit hutch for a local charity. We have made owl boxes for use on Cannock Chase and flower boxes for use around Rugeley Town Centre. These items will be enjoyed by very many people.
