Caudwell Children
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We will work with teams of trained professionals to assess and provide 12 months of support for children who are desperately in need of an autism assessment and then support to manage the diagnosis.
About this cause
We want to provide autism assessments to local families who need the answers they so desperately seek. We provide thousands of families with the support they need with short breaks, family support, sensory equipment and much more. We work with disabled children, young people up to the age of 25 and their families. We give opportunity and dignity to people who have been often forgotten.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will provide families with neuro-diverse children the opportunity to mix and share stories. They will be introduced to new ways of coping and share strategies with each other. They will all have the opportunity to spend time with each other, not only during the workshop days, but also during our short breaks opportunities should they wish to have valuable respite time.
