St Aidan's Church Foodshare
Access to food
We wish to further develop our FoodShare and drop-in for those in food poverty; link with agencies to reduce food waste; and partner with individuals and organisations to provide access to services.
About this cause
St Aidan’s FoodShare is part of the work of St Aidan’s Church, serving our local community and those within it who are on the margins of society and in particular suffering from food poverty and child poverty. We also aim to provide a listening ear, signposting to other agencies who can help with a particular need, such as: debt; housing; language support; and refugee and asylum help.

How this cause brings people in the community together
St Aidan’s FoodShare is part of the work of St Aidan’s Church, serving our local community. Our project is to develop closer relationships with existing and new FoodShare clients, to explore their needs further, and help develop more sustainable lives through appropriate agencies’ support. The expanded drop-in provides a safe community place to meet, offers support and reduces isolation.
