The Garwood Foundation
Mental wellbeing
We wish to offer the provision of a forum for unpaid carers who look after our clients with a variety of disabilities; including profound and multiple learning disabilities.
About this cause
We organise the care, welfare, interest, treatment and advancement of education of adults and children with cerebral palsy, and other profound multiple disabilities.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Carers value opinions of other carers about services available to them. Support groups help to increase the social and emotional wellbeing of people going through similar experiences, and often provide relief in realising that they are not alone. The group dynamic helps members share experiences whilst learning from others, and the sense of relief that comes with sharing is immense.
