Mental wellbeing
We'd like to give our participants and volunteers a cabin which would enable them to access toilets, a kitchen area, an office, a rest room and somewhere safe for them to leave their belongings.
About this cause
Our primary beneficiaries are people of all ages and abilities, from five-years-of-age, who have additional support needs. We provide sessions in a positive, supportive and fun environment. We aim to help our participants develop their self-esteem, confidence and life skills whilst also improving movement and motor skills. We also aim to benefit their families and carers when they visit.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our group is well-known and supported by locals, and we have a working partnership with West Fife Woodlands. We've created a sensory park next to our centre and we're contacting local primary schools, nurseries and dementia groups to offer them the opportunity to use our sensory park in a safe and interesting environment. All will benefit from a welcoming cabin with access to facilities.
