We celebrate diversity and provide support to the LGBT+ community and our allies within Basildon and the surrounding areas, whilst driving greater acceptance of the LGBT+ community across the borough.
About this cause
We're a group who work with the LGBT+ community of Basildon and beyond, and other stakeholders, promoting Basildon Pride as a lasting movement. We do this by arranging, fundraising for and running an annual Basildon Pride festival. We also deliver Basildon Pride Everyday, which is a programme of events and activities for the LGBT+ community and our allies throughout the year.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Pride festival brings together a large and diverse group of people to celebrate inclusion, diversity and community cohesion in a safe space. Our Basildon Pride Everyday programme seeks to provide a safe space, both physically and virtually, for members of the LGBT+ community and their allies to receive the support they need, whilst driving greater awareness in the community.
