Help and support a local football club, by allowing us to provide Junior and Senior football to generations of the future.
About this cause
Race AFC has been a fixture of the local community since 1 December 1905 providing training and fixtures for the local community, creating a focal point. Currently in our 111 season as an amateur football club we still endeavour to provide a focal & social point the community can be proud of. Providing teams at U7, U11, U14 & U16 as well as 2 senior levels teams, playing fixtures and providing weekly training sessions in Torfaen and Gwent respectively. Many of the residents come to watch and support our teams and socialise following the fixtures as well as supplying both senior and junior players for our teams. As the only sporting team in the area it’s important that we continue this.
How this cause brings people in the community together
All current and future squad members between the ages of 5 - 60 (in both our junior and senior teams) will intially benefit by receiving new kit, to support and fund our public facilities, provide new equipment to refine skills and also to try and engage more people into sport in the local area, by promoting fun and worthwhile activities to exercise and play football. The wider community in Torfaen will also benefit by using fun sporting aids used at community open/fun days and other external events to promote our football club with a positive image as our mission statement supports sporting opportunities available to all members of the community.
