Citizens Advice Barnet
Access to food
Our aim is to tackle the root causes of food poverty by providing advice to people using food banks.
About this cause
Citizens Advice Barnet helps our community by providing free, expert advice, information and support to everyone who lives, works or studies in Barnet, while prioritising those who need us most. We enable more than 8,000 people each year to uphold their rights and resolve their problems. We're the only local provider of a wide range of free, complex advice, and we lead on advice services in Barnet.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will enable us to work more closely with local food banks so that people can access advice and support to overcome the causes of their food poverty – such as debt, financial difficulties, and problems with benefits – while accessing the food they need to survive. Together, we will help people with their immediate needs and find more long-term solutions to their problems.
