About this cause

Heads On Run Club Crawley aims to aid those on a mental health recovery journey to have fun whilst interacting with others in the community. Local residents will have more opportunities and a greater awareness of the benefits of physical activity because this project removes many of the barriers experienced in deprived communities - it is local, free and does not require any specialist equipment.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Crawley ranks as the most deprived area in West Sussex (2019) with Broadfield South falling within the 10% most deprived areas in England. Crawley also has a diverse population. We provide an opportunity for a range of people to come together regardless of socio-economic, ethnic or cultural backgrounds, to socialise, improve their physical and mental health, and ignite a sense of togetherness.
