We will seek to meet the wellbeing needs of the community through good nutrition and health activities and we will provide a service where all feel a sense of belonging and individual care.
About this cause
Our charity address isolation and loneliness in the community by increasing socialisation through providing activities to improve health. We are open to all in the community however most of our members fall into the 55+ age bracket, with the majority over age 70. Our 'meals out' members are aged between 80-100 years and the meals service provides a nutritious meal alongside friendship and care.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project, situated in the heart of Ainsdale, has been in operation for 38 years. Our varied activities will attract people bringing them together. We hold a health and wellbeing fair each year which operates alongside the flu-jab vaccinations and involves agencies to give advice and guidance on many aspects of health. We will work in partnership with other agencies to share ideas and resources.
