Cabrini House wants to create a multi-purpose garden area that will enable our residents to learn and use new skills as well as improve their mental wellbeing.
About this cause
We are a charity that wants to improve the lives of the people we support, encouraging them to flourish and be fulfilled. We help our 23 residents with learning difficulties to achieve the most they can; through active participation, we encourage all of our residents to complete daily tasks and activities to the best of their ability as well as participating in activities in the wider community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
In the first instance, this will benefit the residents and their families. However, our long-term plan for the area is to be accessible to many more. We are in contact with our local school and if successful, we will extend an invitation to them to see how we are growing the plants and produce and they can learn through participation. We would love them to have a dedicated area of the garden.
