Head In The Game CIC
Mental wellbeing
We tackle the stigma of men's mental health by running weekly football sessions across Kent aimed at men between the ages of 25-55 encouraging openness when talking about how we are currently feeling.
About this cause
Head In The Game is a community project focusing on mental health and wellbeing, for men between the ages of 25-55 who come together to play football. It enables men to come together on a weekly basis in a safe and comfortable environment and be open and honest about how they are feeling. We use football as the motivator to open up these conversations. The overarching aim is to reduce male suicide.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We look to support local people in local areas by opening up discussions around mental health and wellbeing in safe, comfortable and trusted environments. By having these types of conversations we aim to increase openness in men with the aim of tackling the stigma of mental health and reducing suicide rates at the earliest point of intervention.
