The Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We would like a pony to improve the lives of children with mobility and emotional issues who ride at Diamond so they can experience freedom and a sense of achievement from contact with horses.

About this cause
We're a group that wants to improve the lives of disabled children and adults through horse riding and regular contact with horses.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The centre supports over 330 disabled riders each week from local schools and the local community and they all enjoy, and benefit from the independence and sense of achievement that the empathy and contact with horses gives them. The positive impact on their families and carers, and our 200 volunteers, is immeasurable and without our horses, we would not be able to continue this valuable work.
