We would like to provide counselling for victims and witnesses of crime, to enable them to receive specialist support.
About this cause
We provide emotional and practical support to victims and witnesses of crime, to help them cope with and move forward from what has happened. We provide support and reassurance, provide information on your rights and entitlements under the Victims Code and help you to feel better informed around the Criminal Justice Process. We also have links with specialist services to make onward referrals.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Being able to access free and prompt counselling is vital for the community and prevents further decline in mental health and wellbeing, which may occur as a result of long waiting lists for counselling elsewhere. This will improve community wellbeing by providing specialist support for the most vulnerable members of the community, who may not otherwise be able to afford the service.
