Exmoor National Park
Young people
We want to run a four-day Young Rangers residential programme to enable new skills and confidence in the countryside, in turn promoting wellbeing in young people through understanding outside spaces.
About this cause
Exmoor National Park works to conserve the landscape of Exmoor and promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of the National Park. We do this by connecting people with nature, encouraging thriving communities and promoting green health and wellbeing through delivering projects such as, our CareMoor for Exmoor scheme & our new Young Rangers scheme.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Young Rangers will gain greater environmental awareness to take back to their home communities. The project will encourage Young Rangers who may not have the same opportunity to access the Park and will give young people a focus as well as encourage countryside skills, life skills and confidence building. It will also allow young people to focus on nature as a tool for green exercise.
