PASIC - Cancer Support for Children and Young People
People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
Our Family Activities Programme brings together families facing the trauma of childhood cancer, providing respite, reducing isolation and offering an opportunity to have some 'normal' family fun.

About this cause
We provide emotional, practical, social and financial support to families facing childhood cancer in the East Midlands. We fund a Family Support Worker at Nottingham Children's Hospital. We organise activities, days out and events for all the family to enable respite and reduce isolation. We’re a social lifeline at a traumatic and isolating time.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will enable children living with a life-threatening illness to enjoy the same experiences as any other child. It will help children, siblings, and parents build support networks and friendships and gain access to a network of peer support. Through fun group activities, it will also give them a welcome break from hospital treatments and the stresses that a serious illness brings.
