Reach Learning Disability
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We aim to deliver bespoke wellbeing activities to vulnerable people with learning disabilities in Southwell to help reduce anxiety, which causes barriers to participation in community life.
About this cause
Reach Southwell and Flower Pod are part of Reach Learning Disability, a charity supporting c.300 people with learning disabilities (clients) a week to gain skills, knowledge and confidence needed to make happier, healthier lives in their own community. We do this by offering quality courses, social activities and bespoke one-to-one support. We also provide tailored support to family carers.

How this cause brings people in the community together
We will provide therapeutic support for local people with learning disabilities who face multiple barriers to inclusion including problems caused by sensory sensitivities, severe anxiety and phobias. Our tailored interventions will include bespoke support from our expert staff and a comfortable, safe environment in which our clients can learn, participate and achieve their goals.
