People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
There are 200 young people locally who have been in the care system who currently live in semi-independent care and we aim to supply a box of everyday essentials to each of them 4 times a year.
About this cause
We're a group who wants to make life a little easier for children and young people who are in the foster care system in Nottinghamshire by providing them with essential items.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We have a close working relationship with both Nottingham City and County Councils developed over 3 years of supplying MyBags (bags of comfort) to make sure that MyBoxes reach each child in semi-independent care 4 times a year. We have currently supplied just over 400 MyBoxes and the feedback has been very positive. We would like to increase both the quality and quantity of the products.
