Merseybank Quids In Food Club
Access to food
Our community food club will help keep families in Merseybank well fed.
About this cause
We help low income households in Merseybank who are struggling to feed their families each week by offering up to £15 worth of food for a £2 weekly membership fee. We work with FareShare and local shops to redistribute food that would otherwise go to waste. We also help members to make the most of the food they receive with recipe ideas and encourage members to share their cooking tips.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will help members access the essential food they need at a low cost and to make the best use of it. We encourage our members to get to know each other, either in person when they collect their food or via the club’s online groups. Quids In staff and volunteers are also on hand to offer support. We work with other local services to connect people with the help they need.
