People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We hope to improve children's mental and physical wellbeing by creating a useful, safe and aesthetic outdoor learning environment, including a gym, sheltered seating and planted areas.
About this cause
We work in partnership with Alford Academy to create a welcoming, inclusive, collaborative environment that supports all pupils, teachers, staff and other users of the campus. We actively engage parents to support children's education and welfare. We consult and represent the views of parents and the community on matters that affect the education and wellbeing of the pupils.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This project will enhance the outdoor areas at the Alford community campus, which is open to the whole community, providing a safe, aesthetic outdoor learning and recreational space. The project will encourage children outdoors, improving their physical and mental health and wellbeing, especially since the indoor restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
