People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
Our project will bring together local young people with a disability to make friends, find a sense of belonging and thrive whilst providing respite care to families and carers in the Dunmow area.
About this cause
We're a local charity who empower young people and adults with disabilities by reducing social isolation and improving happiness and wellbeing. We provide fun and inclusive activities where our members can be themselves, and find a sense of belonging, to develop potential, contribute and thrive. We provide essential short break respite to families and support community resilience and wellbeing.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The activities at our project will provide opportunities for young people with disabilities to meet, make friends, avoid loneliness and associated problems like poor mental health and quality of life. We will be able to encourage resilience and wellbeing and empower young people with a disability to find a sense of belonging and to thrive. We will provide respite care for families and carers.
