About this cause

We are part of the Scouting movement, registered as a charity in our own right offering fun and adventure for young people from the age of 6 to 14 years via a balanced programme. 1st Prudhoe currently have 110 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts aged between 6 and 14 years old. Approximately 2/3 are boys, and 1/3 are girls. Our aim is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. We do this be developing and delivering a balanced programme of fun learning activities such as camping, outdoor cooking, hiking, crafts, skills, learning about the community they live in and the world around them.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Our aim is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. We hope to develop a better facility to offer indoor activities to a wider range of young people and provide equitable access to open up the facility to others. This will provide access to a wider range of activities, including archery, climbing, wood work and pioneering 1st Prudhoe currently have 110 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts aged between 6 and 14 years old. Approximately 2/3 are boys, and 1/3 are girls. We also host the Explorers who are agaed 14 to 18 and are a growing group.
