We would like to buy a secure storage shed at our community garden to safely store equipment needed to grow fruit and vegetables in our community raised beds.
About this cause
In these very difficult times, people are finding it harder to make cheap quality foods to feed their families. Our many workshops for schools and the community where we show people how to grow, maintain, harvest and cook good wholesome foods are popular. Our community garden enables everyone to grow and pick produce and use it for their own families; it is used regularly, showing a real need in the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
In these difficult times, our local school and community have reached out for help; they have struggled with mental health, poverty and a lack of self-worth. We can help by working together to learn new skills, take positive choices, have fun, make new friends, and to promote a real sense of achievement and worth.
