We would like to enhance our community welfare programme, specifically with swimming and cycling. We will work with adults with learning disabilities and the elderly.
About this cause
We want to tackle disadvantage by promoting sport, fitness and wellbeing through rugby league. Advantage! is a programme focused improving the wellbeing of Barrovians. We anticipate the effects of Covid-19 on the wellbeing of our local population make our ultimate aim of encouraging a lifelong adherence to the benefits of sport and healthy lifestyles even more crucial.

How this cause brings people in the community together
This project forms part of the already successful Advantage! programme, which is making an impact on our community and being used by up to 1,000 people every week. We are particularly concerned by the lack of provision for in swimming in Barrow, and cuts in social provision for adults with learning disabilities. Our town does not have a non-competitive cycling group for families.
