About this cause

We provide free, confidential, non-judgemental support to people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair for whatever reason. We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and have never been closed to callers in our 67-year history. We reach out to our local community to reduce the risk of suicide in specific settings and vulnerable groups as well as simply being there to listen.

How this cause brings people in the community together

We aim to increase opportunities for homeless people to talk through their emotional problems, for an 80% increase in young people’s knowledge of how to access support, for an 80% improvement in practical skills for young people to develop coping mechanisms and for a 90% increase in the ability of young people to support their friends who experience stress, anxiety and feelings of isolation.
