How this cause brings people in the community together
As well as food parcels to relieve food poverty in general, we have provided school lunches and small birthday presents for hard-pressed parents to give to their children to try to relieve the mental pressures of poverty. This recipe scheme will help them work together on creating healthy meals, with short-term benefits in family cohesion and long-term benefits in changing attitudes to food.
