We would like to support the recovery of more children and young people in Plymouth who have experienced sexual abuse, exploitation and violence.
About this cause
First Light's mission is to create a safer South West where everyone can live free of domestic abuse and sexual violence. Our Therapy Centre in Plymouth provides recovery therapy for anyone affected by recent or historic sexual violence. The Therapy Centre supports over 500 adults and children every year.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Childhood trauma can have a devasting impact on a child. It can affect their mental health, education attainment and wider personal development. Therapeutic counselling will support each child and young person to recover from their experience, supporting them through their childhood and adolescence into healthy, happy adults.
