People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We'd like to fund a practitioner to run 10 specialist mental health recovery workshops for 50-60 people on self-compassion, mindfulness, and arts based recovery activities; both offline and via Zoom.

About this cause
We're a group who wants to ensure that anyone with a mental health challenge gets the compassion and support they need to recover and thrive. We work with adults (18+) across the mental health spectrum from mild to severe and enduring to enable them to better understand what they are experiencing. Our purpose is to challenge the inequality and stigma experienced by people with mental ill health.
How this cause brings people in the community together
These groups will support people to develop peer relationships with others that will last beyond the workshops, thus reducing the vicious circle of loneliness and isolation that compounds poor mental health. We will run the offline workshops in local community centres and wellbeing hubs so that people have greater accessibility and opportunities to meet their near neighbours.
