We would like to help build composting skills in the local community.
About this cause
We're a group who wants to support community-based learning around organic gardening, seasonal and nourishing cooking and sustainable arts and crafts at our community garden. Through facilitating community-based learning, we provide space for the forging of friendships across cultures and backgrounds and build skills for more sustainable futures.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our initiative builds composting skills amongst young people and the wider community. Through a 'training-the-trainer' approach, young people will develop and share composting skills during workshops and community action. The project will culminate in a compost festival at the Global Gardens site where local residents will be invited to learn more about how to reduce food waste by composting.
