Glasgow's Golden Generation
Access to food
We would like to provide healthy three-course meals for older adults at our day centres. If anyone cannot attend our centres, we will provide home delivery essentials bags.

About this cause
Glasgow's Golden Generation was established in 1948 to reduce the impact of loneliness, isolation and poverty among older adults. Our services are open to all adults aged over 55. We have three day centres welcoming older adults from across the city, as well as a range of social clubs. We run a befriending service and a welfare service to ensure no-one suffers from poverty, isolation or loneliness.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Our day centres bring in older people from all over Greater Glasgow to enjoy a day of activities. The activities are designed to keep them physically and mentally active. The ethos of the centre is about giving people company and friendship, and to alleviate feelings of isolation and loneliness.
