Our project will provide support to our volunteers to get back onsite safely in the pandemic. Lluest is the perfect outdoor site to remedy isolation and increase wellbeing.
About this cause
Lluest Horse and Pony Trust rescues and rehabilitates horses and ponies from across Wales and matches as many as possible with Guardian homes. We are a haven for humans and horses, as we provide local volunteering and work experience opportunities, often for people with learning difficulties or physical and mental ill-health.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Lluest's site is outdoors, set on 40 acres of countryside with approximately 30 horses onsite, which as a whole provides vital therapeutic benefit for those who have been isolated and unable to interact or contribute to their community. The additional support for our volunteers, who do so much great work and some of which are vulnerable, means we can provide a place to increase wellbeing.
