About this cause

PKCT works in partnership with community groups, landowners, and other organisations to help make Perthshire one of the most accessible destinations in Scotland. PKCT is an independent charity that negotiates access to land, builds footpaths, and works on conservation projects, all to improve and promote access to the countryside for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Access to open spaces has been extremely important during Covid-19. We want to encourage greater use of the countryside for health and wellbeing. The River Tay Way is also creating new improved cycling infrastructure which will provide active travel links for communities. The project will help to improve the health of users, create sustainable community links, and will develop tourism income.
