We would like to personalise our resident’s bedroom doors with vinyl wrap and improve their communal spaces.
About this cause
We support disabled people to live, learn and work as independently as they choose. Residents are vulnerable in multiple ways, living with medical complications that put them at higher risk of suffering severe illness from Covid-19. Lockdown has limited all our life experiences over the last few months but for our residents, this has had a huge impact on them and their mental health.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We treat everyone with dignity and respect, providing tailored opportunities specific to needs. Bedrooms should be no different. The community will transform communal spaces to be more inviting and a softer, calmer space to watch TV, dine and meet with groups. Funding will enable us to create a sense of identity and ownership for residents, giving them a greater sense of self-worth and belonging.
