We would like to buy new gym equipment to help all our users improve their strength and fitness.
About this cause
Our purpose is to enable and inspire local people to higher levels of health, fitness and wellbeing. We run classes, a gym, roller skating and sports. Our current refurbishment will make us accessible and we aim to be starting activities for older and disabled people, as well as introducing more arts, learning and social activities. We have more than 40 local volunteers who work together for the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Penistone Leisure Centre has been a part of 'Love Thy Penistone' during coronavirus, with many of our volunteers joining in the community effort to support those who could not get out. We will continue to be a community hub where people can meet up to exercise and socialise, and also play their part as a volunteer.
