We would run after-school wildlife clubs to help disadvantaged children enjoy the mental health benefits of contact with nature.

About this cause
The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country was an early pioneer in the urban wildlife movement. Today, we protect wildlife in the city and support communities and local groups so that people of all ages and backgrounds can access and enjoy their local wild spaces and natural heritage. Our education and family projects focus on introducing local children to the natural world.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Two local schools, Oasis Academy Foundry and Oasis Academy Boulton, have approached us about offering enrichment activities for them. By delivering activities, at first in their school grounds and later at the Centre of the Earth, our purpose-built wildlife centre in Winson Green, we will work closely with school staff and parents to help give them a natural childhood.
